English: Portrait of Christiane Eberhardine of Brandenburg-Bayreuth (1671-1727), wife of Augustus II the Strong (1670-1733)
Deutsch: Auf dem Aquarellbildnis nach einem Gemälde von Louis de Silvestre reicht ein farbiger Diener der Königin ein Emailmedaillon mit dem Porträt ihres Gemahls Augusts des Starken. Den kostbaren Rahmen stellte Johann Melchior Dinglinger dem König im Jahr 1718 für 694 Taler in Rechnung. Er war ursprünglich für eine von Ismael Mengs angefertigte Emailminiatur mit dem Porträt der Gräfin Maria Magdalena von Dönhoff vorgesehen, die zwischen 1714 und 1719 Mätresse Augusts des Starken war. 1725 ersetzte man diese durch das Bildnis Christiane Eberhardines, doch deuten die Hörner und Waffenbündel des Rahmens noch auf die frühere Miniatur hin, welche die Gräfin im Jagdkostüm zeigte. |
