| Description | A U.S. Navy Sikorsky HO3S-1 (BuNo 122710) of Helicopter Utility Squadron 1 (HU-1) Det.I landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS Essex (CVA-9). HU-1 Det.I was assigned to Air Task Group 2 (ATG-2) aboard the Essex for a deployment to Korea from 16 June 1952 to 6 February 1953. The HO3S-1 122710 later crashed in the water off Yo-Do, Korea, on 24 July 1953. |
