English: The Sikorsky S-25, or Geh-2, Ilya Muromets was the first aircraft in history with a tail gunner position. First flown in March 1916, about 26 Geh-2s were built before production shifted to the Geh-3. Documents confirm that it flew at altitudes of 17,000 feet on several occasions. Flights were limited by the amount of oxygen bottles on board rather than lack of performance of the aircraft.
