English: The Sikorski Memorial is dedicated to General Wladyslaw Sikorki, the commander-in-chief of the Polish Army and Prime Minister of Poland in exile who was killed in an air crash on the 4 July 1943. His plane had crashed into the sea 16 seconds after takeoff from Gibraltar Airport. This memorial has been recently been relocated here to Europa Point in the British overseas territory of Gibraltar.
