| Description |
English: Sike House. With Shaw Side moor beyond. John Young, an agricultural labourer aged 20 was living here in 1841. In 1851 John Barr was farming 18 acres. Quite a small farm but by 1861 Joseph Scott had 25 acres. 1871 same. In 1891 the Garbutt family lived here: Chapman 49, his wife Mary 44, Robert 19 and Arthur 14. |
