Description
Svenska: Sägnerna om Sigtuna Nyckelsten påstås härstamma från den tid då bl a ryska vikingar plundrade Sigtuna. De skulle då ha tagit med sig stadens bronsportar, men tappat nyckeln på en utpekad plats. På ett säreget format flyttblock vid stranden har minnet av händelsen hållits vid liv genom inhuggna och målade nycklar. Historikerna tvivlar på sanningshalten i sägnerna, men faktum är att Sigtunaporten - eller Svenskporten - är en sevärdhet i Novgorod. Där påstår man att porten, som nu sitter i Sofiakatedralen tagits som krigsbyte i Sigtuna år 1187. Källa: UKF
