English: Signal tower, Bray Head, Valencia Island. This derelict signal tower, dating from the late 18th/early 19th century, stands in a walled enclosure on a grassy plateau on Bray Head (Ceann Bhreagha) at the west tip of Valencia Island (Dairbhre). It forms part of the old defences of the island against pirates, which also include two forts. See also: 451706 |
