Summary
[edit]DescriptionSignal Box Romanshorn II (4557484497).jpg |
The last big mechanical interlocking tower in Switzerland, which was not converted with electrical switches till the end of use on April 2002. The railway switches are severed, but the mechanism still works for simulation. An intricate and programmable mechanical systerm secures the switching operations against incorrect handling and risk of failure. Everything here is preserved so, that it can be scrutinized and simulated. The only thing that is different, the levers are easy to move because there are no railway switches at the ropes.
