Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Sign on the west wall of the 2nd Avenue and East 14th Street 8th Avenue-bound platform of the L line in Manhattan, New York City. The sign dates from the time when the Metropolitan Transportation Authority planned on having the L trains run autonomously, with no motorman, only a conductor. This plan was shelved due to public concern and labor objections.
