Text Appearing Before Image:
nthusiastic brothers, who are laboring for our good, to be handi-capped in this manner. The Journal is, without question, ne-glected—not by one, but by nearly all, for the members do not con-tribute to The Journal as they should. One of the difficult problems which is facing Delta to-day isthe payment of fraternal obligations. We keep putting it offto pay in the future, or to-morrow. But to-morrow never comes. No one can possibly get more out of an organization than heputs into it. If such were the case, some one else would, ofnecessity, be the loser. The more we help our fraternitymaterially and spiritually the more real pleasure and benefitwe are going to derive. If a man puts nothing into his frater-nity, but expects to enjoy the pleasures of fraternal life, this manwill surely experience disappointment. We hope to see many brothers from our sister chaptershere this year when they visit Jamestown. With best wishes to all in Sigma Phi Epsilon. tT. H. Bowen^ Delta. Acting Historian.
Text Appearing After Image:
P^ o H o ao CHAPTER LETTER. 107 Theta Alpha. Ohio Northern University* Greetings to all Sister Chapters : Since our last letter to The Jouenal nothing unusual hasoccurred, nor anything of much interest to our sister chapters. We have not taken in any new men since the last issue. However,we have a number of good men in view, but we have profited bythe mistakes of others, and intend to see and know more of ourcandidates before we bring them into the fraternity. The oldadage, Haste makes waste, would apply to the customs ofinitiating men into the fraternity when about all we knowregarding them is their name. Enough for the lecture. We willnow turn to the alumni banquet. This will, at least, be of interest to our alumni brothers.W^e intend to have an alumni banquet in May. It will be our firstattempt at an alumni banquet, and we are going to make itsomething to be remembered in after years. Now, alumni brothersof Theta Alpha, we need your assistance to make this surpassanything of the kin
