Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Cast taken from original mould of sigillata pottery preserved in the British Museum. The mould bears the stamps of Tigranes, working for master potter Perennius. Found in the fortress of the roman camp of Aliso. Cast from mould by Perennius. In Curle, 1917, p.133 fig.2. Curle says about it :
« represents a banquet scene, with figures of a young man and woman reclining on cushions. The stamps of Perennius and of his potter Tigranes appear on the side of the bowl. Especially remarkable is the vine wreath with bunches of grapes, which forms a background. » (Curle, p. 133)
