Description
Deutsch: Abtssiegel von Jasper Edler von Berwynkel. Abt von 1398 bis 1423 im Kloster Huysburg, St. Mariae Virginis. Portrait-/Standbildsiegel, Spitzoval, beschädigt. Abt Jasper steht auf einer Spitzkonsole mit Pontifikalkleidung und Mitra (Papst Alexander III. hatte den Huysburger Äbten schon 1180 das Recht zum Tragen von Pontifikalien verliehen). In der Linken hält er den Abtsstab und in der Rechten ein Buch. Umschrift nahezu verloren - erkennbar: aspa abbati; vermutlich: „+ s • jaspar • abbatis • in • hvseborch“. Anhängend an einer Urkunde vom 6. Oktober 1400; in der Bischof Ernst von Halberstadt dem Kloster Huysburg unter Abt Jasper den sog. Abtshof in Halberstadt übereignet.
