This is the original picture of the Munda Gumbad. It was constructed during the Khilji period. Munda Gumbad originally would have been a double storeyed pavilion in the centre of the Hauz Khas tank.Although only one storey remains now.The disappearance of the dome, similar to the one at Hauz-i-Shami has given the monument its name.The monument is square in plan, constructed of random rubble masonry, with each of its four sides pierced by arched doorways giving access to the interior chamber. It has four staircases.
