Description
English: Shri Jagannath means the lord of the universe, the supreme solace, and a savior for countless devotees across the globe. Located near Banjara Hills, this temple is a replica of the original Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha. Although it was built only in 2009, it is considered an architectural landmark in Hyderabad. Spread over 3000 sq yards, it was constructed using red sandstone. Its most striking feature is the 70 feet high shikhara or central tower. The walls are decorated with intricate carvings made by over 60 sculptors.
