Summary
[edit]DescriptionShrewsbury Stanier 'Princess Coronation' Pacific geograph-2709830-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Stanier 'Princess Coronation' Pacific at Shrewsbury. View northwards, towards Crewe and Chester. A run from Crewe was normal for locomotives running-in when new or after repairs at Crewe Works. Here is a resplendant 'Duchess', No. 46235 'City of Birmingham' freshly repaired: it was built at Crewe in 7/39 as a 'streamliner', de-streamlined in 4/46 and withdrawn in 10/64, but preserved and now resides in Thinktank, Birmingham |
