Summary
[edit]DescriptionShoreditch - geograph-2184967-by-Robin-Webster.jpg |
English: Shoreditch station, 1994 The then terminus of the East London line, it closed in 2006. Formerly the line continued to form a junction with the main line into Liverpool Street, and was used for freight and special passenger trains, originally steam-hauled, later diesel. A surface train may be seen passing on a down service out of Liverpool Street. Part of the station ground level buildings straddle the near bridge. High above everything on the right is the disused viaduct of the goods lines to Bishopsgate. |
