English: Shopping area of Chester in 1976 The photo was taken from the south side of Watergate Row looking straight down Eastgate Street towards the famous Eastgate Clock standing above the Eastgate. The stone column is the equally famous restored Chester Cross. The car is driving down Watergate St., and Northgate Street is between St Peter's church (on the left) and Ratners shop. Bridge Street is out of sight on the right. |
