Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Shoebury: Hinguar Street Hinguar Street appears to have been built around 1890, shortly after the coming of the railway to Shoebury in 1884. This deduction is made because it is absent on the 1880 Ordnance Survey map, but the 1898 edition shows the row of houses on the left, the School on the right, and the church (as another school) at the end of the street. Hinguar was reputedly a local Viking warlord.
