| Description |
English: The Lodhi Dynasty's Shish Gumbad ("glazed dome") mausoleum, is believed to have been built somewhere between 1489 and 1517 CE. The glass dome known as Shish Gumbad is home to burials whose occupants are not positively identified. Historians have speculated that the building may have been dedicated to either Bahlul Lodi (d. 12 July 1489), the founder and sultan of the Lodi dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate, or to an unidentified family that belonged to the Lodhi family and Sikandar Lodi's court.
Shish Gumbad is located in Delhi's Lodhi Gardens. |
