| Description |
English: Shirley Station Diesel 3 car DMU terminating at Shirley (as they did regularly) on the south platform, having arrived from Moor Street. Much of the station functionality (including toilets) were still in use at this time. Returning trains would pull up beyond the road bridge ahead, before crossing over to northern platform for services back to Birmingham.
Notice the lamp on back of train. In these days driver or guard would have to remove this themselves and replace on other end of train (unlike modern trains). |
