  • Beschrijving: Werfplaat. Metalen plaat. Rechthoekig van vorm. Opliggende letters op zwarte ondergrond: 'N.V. SCHEEPSWERF / KERSTHOLT / GRONINGEN HOLLAND / BOUWNo. (...) BOUWJAAR (...)'. Bouwnummer en -jaar kunnen met slagletters ingevuld worden in de daartoe bestemde velden. Middenonder het wapen van de stad Groningen. Vier schroefgaten.

  • Achtergrondinformatie: De werfplaat is afkomstig uit de verzameling werfplaten van scheepswerf Ton Bodewes te Franeker., De N.V. Scheepsbouw Kerstholt was gevestigd in Groningen. De scheepswerf was in het begin gevestigd aan het Hoornsediep en later aan het Van Starkenborgkanaal. Op dit locatie zat de bouwhelling. De kantoren en magazijnen waren op een ander locatie gevestigd: Oosterhamrikkanaal/Antillenstraat. De werf bouwde uiteenlopende schepen van houten sloepen bouw tot coasters en luxe jachten. In 1962/63 liet prins Rainier III van Monaco zijn jacht bouwen op deze werf.
