Description
English: Close-up view of a sign located beneath one of the street name signs for Shell Hammock Road, a privately-owned dirt road leading to the Shell Hammock Landing, a site on the National Register of Historic Places near Camp Mack, northeast of Lake Wales, Florida. Shell Hammock Road branches off to the northwest of the northwest side of Camp Lester Road and Reese Avenue. The NRHP listed house was built in 1881 and was used as a resting place for steamboat passengers on the Kissimmee River. The lack of permission to enter the property, not to mention a four-wheel drive vehicle kept me from capturing the structure, but at least I was able to capture a relevant sign on the corner.
