Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Wooden fork and spoon, Sheldon Jackson Museum, Sitka, Alaska, U.S. These are two of 23 "Sitka curios" purchased in the 1870s by Army wife Emily Fitzgerald—when she joined her husband stationed in Sitka for the U.S. Army—and obtained in 1983 by the Sheldon Jackson Museum. This "Fitzgerald Collection" is among the few latter-day additions to the museum's collections; the vast bulk of the museums collections were assembled by Sheldon Jackson in the 1880s and 1890s.
