| Description |
English: Sheffield Town Hall. The impressive Town Hall dates from the 1890's, having taken about seven years to build. It was officially opened by Queen Victoria in 1897. An extension was completed in 1923. Sheffield is unusual in having both a Town Hall and a City Hall, although the latter is now a concert venue. 1221287 It also has one of its earlier town halls still in existence. That building, known as Sheffield Old Town Hall, is currently unused. |
