| Description |
English: Sheep at Flower's Barrow, Isle of Purbeck. These sheep graze the site of Flower's Barrow hillfort on Rings Hill above Worbarrow Bay. Without their grazing this rather exposed location would revert to scrubland, and mechanical mowing is not a safe option on a live-firing MoD tank range. The sheep don't take any notice of the "keep to the marked path" notices and occasionally one is killed by an unexploded shell. This side of the hillfort is slowly collapsing into the bay below. |
