| Description |
English: Shaw Forest Park, West Swindon This land was once an extensive refuse tip and only fairly recently has work started on the forest park. The vents are to disperse methane gas generated within the tipped material. Work is also underway to install a gas extraction system so that the methane can be used as an energy source which will both save fossil fuel and prevent the methane from contributing to global warming. |
