A symbol of their purity and innocence

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Sivaratri or Siva Choturdoshi is a sacred Hindu festival celebrated to honor Lord Shiva, the deity of destruction and rejuvenation in Hinduism. During this festival, many Hindu devotees take vows and perform special rituals to show their devotion to Lord Shiva. One such ritual is the shaving of a child's hair, which is considered to be a symbol of their purity and innocence. This vow represents the parent's commitment to raise their child in the path of righteousness and devotion to Lord Shiva. By offering the shaved hair to the deity, parents are asking for blessings and protection for their child's future. Sivaratri is an auspicious day for spiritual practices, meditation, and introspection, and is an opportunity for Hindus to connect with Lord Shiva and seek his blessings for a fulfilling life.
