Description
English: Illustration in graphite in 1851 by artist James Fuller Queen of the Shamokin Creek (center, in the distance) in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. Note bridge (center), railroad tracks on each side, and mine entrances with tipples for loading coal onto railroad cars for transport to larger coal breakers. Inscribed (bottom): Shamokin Creek in a shower, 1851.
