| Description |
English: Designed by an Israeli architect Zalman Enav and Ethiopian architect Michael Tedros, Shalom Shalome Apartment is located at the sloping avenue which is characteristic of the Piassa area. The Integration of the building with the topography is reflected by the jagged use of bold lines running on the facade of the building. The front, south east facing facade where the balconies of the apartment units are located, is composed of walls allowing for a various levels of privacy. This is achieved by using different composition of materials such as hollow concrete blocks, glass louvers and wooden boards railings. In addition to shading the building, the thoughtful location of the balcony and the design of the facade serves as a sound buffer to the units. |
