Description
English: Shady Side, steamboat built 1873, watercolor on paper by James Bard. This vessel served until 1922, and in later years was part of the Black Star Line, which was owned by en:Marcus Garvey. The Steam Paddle Shady side of New York, official number 115180, tonnage 444, gros 329 net, built at Bulls Ferry, N.J., in 1873. Original owner: The North and East River Steam Boat Company.[1]
