Description
English: Arms of Seymour, Duke of Somerset sculpted on oak screen formerly in Court House, North Molton, now in North Molton Church. Arms relating to Dorothy Smith, wife of Edmond Parker (d.1611) of North Molton. Dorothy Smith was the daughter of Dorothy Seymour, sister of Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset. These arms are a special augmentation granted to Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset, in lieu of his paternal arms of Gules, two wings conjoined in lure or.
