English: Severn Beach railway station, Gloucestershire, 2013 Opened in 1922 by the Great Western Railway on what became the loop line from Bristol to Bristol via Avonmouth, Severn Beach and back via Pilning. This has been the end of the line since 1964. View north towards the buffers, but previously to Pilning via the platform to the right. The track had been lifted and scrub was encroaching when this image was taken. See ST5484 : Severn Beach railway station, Gloucestershire for a 2021 image from a similar viewpoint. |
