When they lay down their arms dont huzza:posterity will huzza for you / ;; Congress passed a special vote of thanks to each of the commanders, and to theofficers and troops ; presented Washington with two stands of colors ; gave Rocham-beau and de Grasse two field pieces each; and resolved to erect a marble columnupon the spot where the surrender took place.
