Description
Dansk: Detalje af vintertællingen ført af kiowaen Sett’an (Little Bear). Tegningen viser en pawnee dreng holdt fanget af kiowaerne, der i forbindelse med sin flugt forsvandt med kiowaernes bedste væddeløbshest. Den var en fuks kaldt ”Little-red”. Drengens kendetegnende skalpelok viser, han er pawnee. Den sorte bjælke nederst indikerer, at hændelsen fandt sted i vinter-halvåret
English: Detail of the winter count kept by the Kiowa Sett’an (Little Bear). The drawing shows a Pawnee captive flee with the best race horse of the Kiowas, a bay called ”Little-red”. The scalp lock shows the boy is a Pawnee. The upright black bar is a symbol used for events taken place during the winter.
