Title
Serrated-edge flake
Description
English: Flint flake, sub-rectangular in plan, convex-concave in profile and bi-convex in section. The dorsal face has cortex along the distal and left margins that may have provided backing. The upper right margin has an angular notch, possibly a result of damage. The lower right margin is sharp and serrated, and the ventral side of this section has very fine retouch. The flint is grey with pale mottles. There is secondary cortex and it is likely to have derived from a local beach pebble.

Mercer (1981) shows a similar serrated-edge flake, without the angular notch, on page 143, Figure 63, Number L204.
