فارسی: باغ خزندگان بخشی از باغ وحش است که در آن جانورانی مانند مار، بزمجه، مارمولک، سوسمار، آفتابپرست و دیگر گونههای خزنده نگهداری میشود. در باغ خزندگان غیر از گونههای جانوری زنده، اجساد و اسکلت تعدادی خزنده خشک شده نیز به نمایش در میآید.
English: A herpetarium is a zoological exhibition space for reptiles and amphibians, most commonly a dedicated area of a larger zoo. A herpetarium which specializes in snakes is an ophidiarium or serpentarium, which are more common as stand-alone entities also known as snake farms. Many snake farms milk snakes for venom for medical and scientific research.
Español: Un herpetario es una instalación destinada a cría y exhibición de reptiles y anfibios, normalmente en terrarios o en vivarios en zoológicos o en instituciones de investigación, públicas o privadas, para estudiantes o para egresados que requieren capacitación o actualización en su desempeño profesional, o bien de laboratorios farmacéuticos.
