Summary

[edit]
Description

Specimen collected by Charles Darwin in Tierra del Fuego in December 1832. Identified by Andrew Smith 180 years later. Part of a loan returned at the Entomological Society of America meeting in Austin, Texas in November 2013, when it was passed around several entomologists and even made a blog beetlesinthebush.wordpress.com/2013/11/11/the-darwin-beetle/

This is probably the most fun it had since it flew to 22-year old Darwin's oil lamp in 1832!
