Description
Español: SISPANOV, SERGIO N., Professor of Mathematics in the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the National University of Asuncion, Paraguay; Born June 28, 1894, in Cherepovez, Russia; son of Nicolay Sispánov and Paraskovia Chúrkina. He graduated from Faculty of Science of the University of St. Petersburg (1915), and from the Military School of Heavy Artillery of Odessa. On Nov. 13, 1913, he married Catalina Borisova; five children- Zoya, Nicolay, Nina, Maria and Anna. Dr Sispánov began his carrer in 1913 as Instructor in a Secondary School in Petrograd, and later in Sebastopol, Russia. In 1921 he was in Czechoslovakia, and served sucessively as Assistant an Dozent in the course on differential equations in Theoretical Physics of the Polytechnic School of Prague and as Professor in other Schools of Higher Education. In 1926 he was placed under contract by the Paraguayan Government to serve as Professor of Superior Mathematics and of Rational Mechanics in the newly formed Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. He is a Member of the Society of Astronomers of Leningrad; Russian Mathematical Society of Prague; Sociedad Matematica Española de Madrid; Sociedad Matematica Argentina de Buenos Aires, etc. During the First World War, Dr. Sispánov served as Ballistic Calculator and Constructor of gun sights, in the Fortress of Sebastopol. During the war of the Grand Chaco (Paraguay and Bolivia) he also served as Professor of Course of Aerial Bombardement in the Escuela de Aviacion Militar del Paraguay. (Published between 1937-43) Sobre una integral de Euler; Expresiones aproximadas para las funciones trigonometricas; Calculo de una integral multiple; Sobre un problema de Malfatti; Generalizacion de las ecuaciones diferenciales homogeneas; Un caso especial de movimiento del solido; Generalizacion de los teoremas de Pappus; Sobre los numeros pseudo-primos; Un complemento al metodo de Adam Kochansky; Generalizacion del teorema de Laguerre; Resolucion de un sistema ciclico; La criba de Eratóstenes y la integral logaritmica de Tchebysheff; Calculo de una integral de la teoria de mesón; Generalizacion de una formula de Jordán; Un problema de analisis indeterminado; Desarrollo de las funciones reales mediante las series de una variable compleja; Sobre una ecuacion indeterminada; Calculo algebraico del eneptagono regular; Una ecuacion funcional; Sobre la ecuacion trinomia de quinto grado, and others. In addition his texts on the following subjects have been published: Higher Algebra, Analytic Geometry, Introduction to Analysis, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Integration of the Differential Equations; Statics, Kinematics, Dynamics of the Point, Dynamics of the Solid.
