Cole Glackin (right), a Fairbanks, Alaska native, who serves as the day-shift liaison officer for 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, is congratulated by 3rd BCT's Command. Sgt. Maj. Daniel Dailey, a native of Palmerton, Pa., and Col. John Hort, from Fayetteville, N.C., the brigade's commander, after reenlisting with the Striker Brigade, Feb. 2. Glackin joined active duty in 2003 after serving with the Alaska National Guard. He said he felt the need to serve his nation following the terror attacks of Sept. 11. The current deployment is his second to Iraq with the Striker Brigade. He has five children with his wife Catherine. The newest addition to his family was born in December. |
