English: A firefighter watches as flames burn across a field Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks Fire Management Program conducted a fuel reduction project in June 2015 in the Ash Mountain area of Sequoia National Park. Approximately 25 acres were burned to reduce hazardous fuels and restore natural conditions. Due to an unseasonably dry year and extreme demand for firefighting resources throughout the west, a cautious approach to fire management was used.
