English: The tomb of the Bishop of Tuy, Diego de Avellaneda, features one of the most outstanding examples of 16th century Spanish funerary sculpture of its kind.
Español: Capilla del Colegio de San Gregorio (Valladolid). Esculpido en alabastro por el taller de Felipe Bigarny (1536-1566). La escultura de bulto es de Enrique de Maestrique. Al fallecimiento de Bigarny (†1542), lo termina Juan de Gómez (h. 1566). Procede del Monasterio de San Juan Evangelista y Santa Catalina, Espeja de San Marcelino. |
