Description
English: This visualisation, based on data from the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), shows the surface air temperature anomaly for September 2023 over the European continent. C3S data highlights that September 2023 has entered the record books as the hottest September ever registered for this area. Notably, air temperatures exceeded those of the previous warmest September by a significant 1.1ºC. The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) publishes monthly Climate Bulletins which analyse the condition of European and global climate using key indicators, including surface air temperature.
