Tunnistus tehty Otavan Pohjolan lintukirjan (1982) pohjalta niskan valkean täplän, siiven juovattomuuden ja suuren koon perusteella. Vierellä olevan "kesykyyhkyn" virallisesta nimestä en uskalla sanoa varmasti mitään, sillä kirjan iän ja puistopulujen äärestä toiseen vaihtelevan värin jälkeen joudun lähinnä heittämään noppaa eri vaihtoehtojen välillä.

Itse otettu kuva, Lontoo, Kensington gardens, kevät 2004.
