Description

A data oficial da recondução de Dilma Rousseff à chefia do Executivo – estipulada com base no disposto na emenda constitucional número 16, de 1997 – é dia 1º de janeiro de 2015. A cerimônia de posse presidencial segue um roteiro detalhado estabelecido por meio de um decreto de 1972. Oficialmente, a cerimônia de posse tem início no Congresso Nacional. Porém, apesar de o Brasil ser um país laico, os últimos empossados têm optado por iniciar os compromissos com uma missa na Catedral de Brasília.

No Congresso Nacional acontece a cerimônia chamada de Compromisso Constitucional. Os eleitos serão recebidos pelos Presidentes do Senado e da Câmara dos Deputados. O Primeiro-Secretário da Mesa do Congresso faz a leitura do termo de posse e o presidente do Congresso Nacional os declara empossados.
