Consul General Visits PTK-Motors

On September 11, Consul General Tom Armbruster and a U.S. Commercial Service Vladivostok representative met with PTK-Motors, the official dealer of Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, and Cummins. PTK has a great choice of U.S.-made truck-tractors and semi-trailers. PTK’s Director gave a tour of the large fleet of Freightliners for sale and the 3,000 square meter service facility where specialists certified by Freightliner, Eaton and Detroit Diesel provide full scale engine repairs from their 3$ million spare parts warehouse. The PTK Director informed that his company sells 40 trucks per month and covers the Russian Far East and Siberian territory with a branch office in Moscow. PTK’s plans for next year are to increase the truck-tractors and semi-trailers sales by 20%. Freightliner does well in the Russian Far East, despite extremely cold temperatures, and has developed a reputation for quality service, efficient operations, ease of repair, and cost effectiveness. PTK provides training for owners of the new trucks, as well as for mechanics.
