Summary
[edit]DescriptionSefton Street, Hull - geograph.org.uk - 1218995.jpg |
English: Sefton Street, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Looking south-southeast along that part of Sefton Street which follows the course of Rosamond Street, of which only Nos. 109-115 remain. The building with the yellow shop front in the middle distance is 109 Rosamond Street (now the Vera Bushman sandwich shop). Thousands of houses like those on the left were built right across Hull between the late 1960s and the early 1980s as part of the city council's slum clearance and re-housing programme, to replace some of the tightly-packed terraced housing which was damaged or destroyed during air raids in World War Two. |
