26 W. E. DALLWIG'S SEED CATALOGUE. HT"/~V;V/; * TA Acme.âOf superlative merit; size medium, color reddish with slight I 1 1 111 tinge of purple ; flesh deep scarlet and unusually solid. A characteristic â 1 T *' m * 0f tYiis tomato is its entire freedom from all irregularities, nearly every Continued. specimen being smooth as an apple. For market gardeners who want an early purple-fruited tomato, it stands without a peer. Per ounce 15c, I pound 50c Dwarf Champion.âA tomato plant of the new habit, stems short, thick, stiff, almost self-supporting. Leaves very dark in color, much curled and twisted, the plants altogether having many of the characteristics of the Laye tomato. Fruit borne in showy clust- ers, quite large, solid and of good color. A sort desirable for the family gardener and market, as it requires but little space. The dwarf habit of the vines makes it very desirable for forcing, as it can be planted closer to the glass, and more closely on the bench, than the tall growing kinds. Per ounce 15c,
