Everywhere, both in America and Europe. * the standard for earliness, maturing for table forty-five days from germination, and frequently, under peculiar conditions, in thirty-eight days. Vine eighteen inches high. Sticks not necessary. Best variety for Autumn picking. Per quart 20c Thorburn Extra-Early Market.—Our standard market garden extra-early Pea : productive and profitable to grow. Per quart 20c Alaska Pea.—This new market Pea has become a Standard variety, proving to be not only seven days earlier than most early sorts, but of larger size and ten per cent more pro- ductive. The vines are very dwarf, growing about twenty inches high. Per quart 20c American Wonder.—This Pea is a hybrid of fixed habit between the Champion of England and the Little Gem: it possesses the merits of both with some additional claims to notice. The vine grows six to eight inches high and is very prolific in pods of striking form and size. In maturity it is among the first earliest, ripening in about fifty days from germination: it is absolutely the first early among the green wrinkled sorts. Per quart 25c Premium Gem.—An improvement upon the little Gem. larger and more productive. A second early in maturity : very luscious in flavor. Higtily recommended. Try it. Per quart 25c Improved Tom Thumb.—Vine bushy, growing to a height of five to eight inches ; foliage heavy ; matures in fifty-five days after sprouting. Per quart 25c Carter's Telephone. Seed green, wrinkled; height r li feet; foliage luxuriant, pecu- liar light shade of green. fairly productive ; pods usually large size, elegant shape, slightly curved, well filled with peas of large size, good quality ; slightly earlier than the Champion of England. A most desirable variety for those who want a large showy pea of good quality. Per quart 25c Strategem.—The best late marrow pea grown : immense pods, splendid flavor, vigorous growth, needs no sticking : very popu- lar. Height 24 feet. Per quart 25c Irish Large White Marrow-Fat.— A strong productive variety, requiring much space; not recommended for garden purposes unless brushwood can be obtained ; matures for table eighty days after germination. Plant on thin soil, without manure. This is the Irish sort—superior to the common form generally sold. Per quart 15c Peruvian Black-Eyed Marrow-Fat.— A vigorous grower, reach- ing a height of four and a half feet, with heavy vine and foliage. Plant on thin soil. Matures eighty days after germination. CARTER'S TELEPHONE PEA. Per quart 15c Dwarf Sugar.—(Edible Pods.) Purple Blossom. The pods, when very young, are used same as snap short beans. Matures in seventy days from germination. Per quart 25c Tall Sugar.—(Edible Pots.) Same generaFcharacter as the preceding, but taller. Per quart 25c Imported Mammoth Sugar.—( White Seed.) An edible podded variety ; growing about four feet high ; pods very large. Being edible podded, it should be used in the same way as a wax bean ; very sweet and tender. Per quart 30c C INott's Excelsior Pea.—This is a very fine new extra early dwarf wrinkled Pea, foliage dark green and rather heavy, haulm close jointed : the pods average fully one-third larger than the American II oncU r, and while perhaps not quite so early, by a few days, are all ready for picking at one time. Each pod contains six to eight large peas, which are of unusually sweet flavor; so closely are the peas packed in the-pods that they are flattened against each other. Per quart 30c Duke of Albany.—Immense pods on style of Telephone ; very superior. Per quart 30c
