Livingstons Giant Ostrich, Plume Asters (much reduced in size), pkt. lOe.LIVINGSTONE^ Queen of Market Astm About two or three weeks earlier than most other Asters. A pro-fuse bloomer and of graceful habit. The shape of this Aster is verysimilar to Semples Giant Branching Aster (see illustration of same,.No. 1 in cut on opposite page.) Its perfect flowers are borne onlong stems and in great variety of colors, ma!:ing them extremelyuseful for cutting. A favorite sort. Height, 1)4 feet. MIXED COLORS—All colors in finest mixture. SIX BEAUTIFUL ew Asters New Aster, Violet King The habit of growth of this newcomer is similar tothe Branching Asters, growing vigorously about two andone-half feet high; has long, stiff stems. In form theflower is entirely new and distinct from any othervariety; round, full, and very large, manv of the flowersmeasuring from four to five inches in diameter. (Seeillustration.) Petals somewhat resemble the quilledvarieties, but are much larger and broader, those in thecenter being fantastically twisted, curled and incurled,completely covering the crown. Its color is a soft vio-let -lilac.. TVe grew a large quantity of these superbAsters the past Summer for cut-flower purposes; andwhen other varieties were such a glut as to be unsalablethe blooms of the Violet King Aster sold readilv at 50to 75 cents per dozen.
