If the peas are coveredto the full depth at first, or ifwater is allowed to stand in thetrenches, they will not make agood stand of healthy plants. The crop should be gatheredas fast as it is fit for use. If even afew pods begin to ripen, new podswill not only cease to form, but thosepartly advanced stop growing.
